2 received a hardware update on its previous standards and is now much more powerful than ever. With the improved processor and a much more effective battery life than before this tablet is going to be a best buy at such a low price. The new specification for 2 was provided by IIT Rajasthan students and few other engineering college students. The lot of 600 students was given to check it for quality standards and most of them were not happy with the current performance of the tablet.
With just a 326 Mhz processor you can’t do much that’s the major problem with 2. It was highly criticized over the low performance issue by the students so new specification is finally given to the manufacturer Datawind and the students will get the tablet at the same price with the improved performance.
Battery Life and Faster Processor

The claim of the students looks logical as the cheapest available phone which runs android OS runs on a 600 Mhz processor and still is slower in response. The new specification was necessary to implement to make the tablet more useful.
However CEO of the Datawind was not happy with the new specification. “The tablet was given better specification then drafted before and given to us” quoted Mr. Tuli.
A new lot of about 70,000 2 will be given to HRD ministry by the company. However a lot of 30,000 tablets is already handed over to the HRD ministry before which contains tablets of older specs.
The new standards are going to give a little bit of smile and relief to the students who were concerned over the quality and performance of the tablet. Also it will be a nice answer to the critiques. With the new 2 is yet to be tested by the country the students are looking at HRD for more updates.
