Aakash in school libraries
The record breaking aakash pc is in hype again. The huge demand of aakash tab has created the scarcity of tablet in the market. The impact of demand can be easily analyzed by by the situation that the commercial variant Ubislate 7 was pre booked within few days of starting of booking. The company then stopped the booking of previous and a new more powerful version of aakash pc 2 (commercial name Ubislate 7+) was launched and opened for booking. The huge demand and slow production rate led to further delay in the delivery of aakash pc. The shipping of the tablet is yet to be started even months after the booking. To counter this government has come up with a plan to make aakash tab available on rent.
The distribution of the tablet was first assigned to the Government colleges and institutes and then to the other institutions of the college which is suffering from delay in delivery. The colleges and institutions will be given an extra lot for libraries so that they can lend the aakash tab on rent for student. The prices and time duration of rent is left over the college staff to decide. The rent model followed by government can allow one tablet to serve many students which can serve well until the production is increased and the demand is meet. However this rent model will also allow the student to get a hands on experience on aakash pc to measure the performance and to decide to purchase it or not.

Aakash tab in government scholarships
“Aakash tablet will increase the level of students of rural India” is a quoted by HRD ministry of India. The traditional educational system of India suffers largely from ineffective management of resources, non responsibility of teachers and corruption. The scholarship provided by the government are the best source to attract the students at rural areas. However this scholarship is now a great source of income for the teacher and principles of schools. This corruption at grassroots level is responsible for the ineffectiveness of the education system of India. Firstly the scholarship hardly reaches the deserving candidate and when it reaches the students the major part of it misused even by the students. The government should think about providing aakash tab per child instead of scholarship to the students. Due to latest technology of aakash 2 greater chances are there that it will have a positive impact on students of even rural areas. Government must think about enhancing the infrastructure of rural area to make aakash tablet more useful tool in the hands of students of India.
