After so many tablet launches focusing more on low prices to lure the customers specially the younger generation which can be the biggest tablet buyer one more tablet Attitude Daksha is launched by a Kerala based research Lab Telmoco Development. While many of previous tablets trying to trick the customers by overclocking the CPU or by downgrading to ARM 11 from Cortex A8 architecture for more clock speed but poor performance Attitude tab Looks a bit different from others. The tablet was developed for Android 3.2 Honeycomb version and Cyanogenmod Public libraries but later to compete with other low price ICS tablets in india launched with Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich. Telmoco Labs is a Kerala based firm which was previously developing and integrating apps on mobile platform for Android OS and it seems to have good hold on Android platform. The specifications and features of Attitude Daksha tablet are similar to its nearest competitor Micromax fun book tablet. The tablet targets schools and other institutions students and will be available from 15th of May. The tablet got an edge over Micromax fun book by keeping the price low to Rs 5,399 and raising a few performance benchmarks such as Processor speed and long Battery life and claiming itself to be the best tablet at this price range.
Hardware and Design of Attitude Daksha
The initial images of Attitude Daksha show that the tablet is available in Black color with 3 physical buttons on the top front. The 3 buttons are for Back, Menu and Home screen not much about the design is revealed even from the Telmoco labs official site. Only a front facing camera is provided with the Attitude tablet which disappoints rear camera tablet seekers. Daksha tablet runs on a Cortex A8 processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz which can be overclocked to 1.5 GHz which a bit different and better than Micromax Fun Book as it is suspected (not proved yet) that clock speed of 1.2 GHz on Micromax tablet is achieved by overclocking the CPU which does not hold good for better performance. A GPU of 400 MHz is also provided in Daksha tablet for better streaming of HD videos and better gamming performance. The internal memory is 4 GB Flash storage and is same as other tablets in the market and can be extended upto 32 GB using any flash memory card. Attitude tab runs on 512 MB DDR3 RAM which is double than BSNL tablet and Aakash tablets. No accelerometer sensor is reported with the tablet.
Display and camera of Attitude Daksha tablet
Touch screen of Attitude Daksha is 7” inches WVGA with a 5 point touch capability which means unlike the old touch screens it can detect your touch if you touch the screen at more than one point. The screen resolution is 480 X 800 pixel with the aspect ratio of 16:9. Attitude daksha is capable of displaying true HD 1080p videos flawlessly with the help of its 400 MHz Video processor. A 3.5 mm jack is provided with the tab to connect it with your external speakers or headphones. A front facing VGA (0.3MP) camera is provided with daksha tab along with an option to upgrade it to 2 MP if you really feel a need to capture pics with your tab else VGA is enough for most of your video conferencing need via any Android app such as Skype.
Battery life and Connectivity of Attitude Daksha tab
Battery Life: Its battery life where Attitude Daksha tablet outplays Micromax fun book tab and other tabs at this price range. Fun book is fitted with 2800mAh battery which may not live up to 5 hour claim of company but Attitude tablet comes with 3800mAh Li-Po battery which can easily last for 6 hours with Wi-Fi switched on as claimed by the company. A HDMI port is present in tablet for HD video display on your television and an OTG connector is provided for your 3G USB modem connectivity. Attitude Daksha tab can be connected to internet via Wi-Fi or 3G USB modem. No SIM card slot is present again so you have to buy an external modem to connect it to internet without Wi-Fi.
Attitude Daksha Software Specifications :
Attitude tab runs on Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich which is the latest version in tablets and can be found in most of the budget tablets like Micromax fun book. Well its touted as best tablet regarding specs at this price range it still have to prove it performance. The tablet is hyped as Aakash tab competitor but it will be a good competitor to Micormax fun book and HCL ME U1 tab also. The commercial veorsin of the Aakash tablet, called the UbiSlate 7, will cost Rs. 2,999 and is now available for pre-order. At this price, one gets the facility of both GPRS and Wi-Fi, which helps you stay connected all the time, giving you the functionality of a mobile phone. The processor speed gets bumped up to 700 MHz, while the battery life gets extended to 5 hours.
can attitude tab be connected to internet enabled mobile to use internet connection of mobile in attitude? If this facility is not there then cost of internet through it will be very high through dongle. And everyone does not have gift of wifi.
